How does the Titan work?
Titan™ utilizes a safe, infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. This heating can cause immediate collagen contraction. During the procedure, the skin’s surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan™ hand piece. After the procedure, new collagen growth results in further tightening and the development of a more youthful, complexion with less lines, folds or looseness of the skin. The Titan technology cools the skin during treatments therefore sensitivities such as rosacea or herpes are not irritated. The Titan treatments tend to benefit a wide range of patients and can be used with sensitive skin conditions.

Who can be treated?
Since the Titan™ procedure is heating tissue under the skin’s surface; patients of any skin type can be treated. Men and women of all ages have been successfully treated. You will be advised if the Titan™ is right for you.
How many treatments will I need?
Two treatments four weeks apart are recommended for maximum effect. You will be advised as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.
How long do the results last?
The desired results last approximately 12 to 18 months. A maintenance treatment is required once a year.
What happens after the treatment? Are there any side effects?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should disappear within a few hours. Consult at the clinic for complete information on the Titan treatment.
When will I see results?
Some patients see results immediately. However, for most patients, the results are gradual over a three to four month period as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens.
What do treatments feel like?
With each Titan™ pulse, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. However the Titan procedure is adjusted carefully for the patients comfort so most patients are comfortable without anything. You will be advised.
Has the Titan™ been tested and approved?
The Titan™ has been carefully studied in clinics around the world. It is cleared for the treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada. In the USA, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperatures and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending in the US for the treatment of wrinkles.
